This fall we are offering another set of bred cows and heifers for sale. In addition to our traditional private treaty offering, we have decided to consign 6 head to the Money Makin Mommas Sale which will be held in Ames, IA on December 16th. We have posted data and pictures for both sets on this page, with the private treaty cows first, and the Money Makin Mommas consignments listed below them. Both sets of cows are here on the farm and available for viewing any time. The private treaty cows are available to purchase now on a first come, first served basis.
In our private treaty offering there are 6 bred cows from our seedstock herd, along with 2 additional bred cows that we have been using as recipient cows in our embryo transfer program, but who failed to settle with an embryo pregnancy this year. Those two are registered Red Angus cows that we raised. Please give us a call if you would like to know more about the offering or would like to come take a look. To learn more about the service sires, check out our Herd Sires page.
Several years ago, the Red Angus Association of America began publishing two new indices to go along with the existing EPDs. Since then, we have included the “HerdBuilder” index and “GridMaster” index in our data sheets. If you would like to learn more about these indices and how they can be used as a selection tool, click the following link to view the Association’s explanation.
