This fall we are offering another set of bred cows and heifers for sale by private treaty. Each year it gets harder and harder to decide which cows to sell to make room for the replacement heifers we have kept, and this year there are a bunch of cows for sale that we hate to see leave the herd. However, we must sell something and these cows were selected primarily because their calving dates fall after our preferred calving season. Note that the list contains a donor cow (T21- check her out on the Donor Cows page) and two direct daughters of Samurai’s dam, Marita R31 (W43 and B98). Recently, the Red Angus Association of America began publishing two new indices to go along with the existing EPDs. We have begun adding the “HerdBuilder” index and “GridMaster” index to our data sheets.
